Panelist

Hilton Houston Post Oak, 2001 Post Oak Blvd., Houston, TX 77056

The Institute for Energy Law (IEL) Conference on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) is taking place October 11th in Houston, Texas. This full agenda includes panelist Katherine W. Strange, Milestone SVP and general counsel, on the 11:45 a.m. session "Pore Space Leasing and Land Issues".

A few years into the land rush for “pore space” for CO2 sequestration, a market is starting to coalesce around certain issues and market dynamics. These issues and their resolution are driven by not only commercial realities in each transaction but also regulatory, land rights and even state/local governmental politics are big influences as well. This panel will explore how some of the first movers have solved these issues and succeeded in obtaining leases both onshore and offshore in the United States.
